THE SELECTION
All the members of the jury were really impressed with the large number of entrants and high quality of many of the Works, often combining originality with new innovative techniques.
During two days were evaluated 2790 illustrations by 920 illustrators from 50 countries. The jury decided to attribute the ILUSTRARTE 2005 Award to the Portuguese illustrator João Vaz de Carvalho. Additionally, the hury decided to attribute two special mentions to the works of Isabelle Vandenabeele (Belgium) and André Letria (Portugal).
