THE SELECTION
During a day and a half the members of the jury evaluated the illustrations of four hundred and seventy six illustrators from thirty one countries. Unanimously, the jury decided to attribute the ILUSTRARTE Award 2003 to the French illustrator Frédérique Bertrand.
Additionally, the jury decided to attribute three mentions to the works of Chiara Carrer (Italy), Katja Gehrmann (Germany) and José Manuel Saraiva (Portugal).
